Does The CDC Give Advice About Cleaning Carpet?
The CDC specifically recommends the following process for cleaning carpets:
- For soft (porous) surfaces such as carpeted floor, rugs, and drapes, remove visible contamination if present and clean with appropriate cleaners indicated for use on these surfaces. After cleaning, use products with the EPA-approved emerging viral pathogen claims that are suitable for porous surfaces.

What Does Zerorez® Recommend I Do To Keep My Home Safe?
We advise you follow the counsel of the CDC. “Practice routine cleaning of frequently touched surfaces (for example: tables, doorknobs, light switches, handles, desks, toilets, faucets, sinks) with household cleaners and EPA-registered disinfectants that are appropriate for the surface, following label instructions.”

Should I Cancel My Appointment Until After COVID-19 Goes Away?

Can Zerorez® Bring COVID-19 Into My Home?

Can Zerorez® Disinfect My House?
Zerorez® will help with the first step the CDC recommends – cleaning. The CDC states: “Cleaning refers to the removal of germs, dirt, and impurities from surfaces. Cleaning does not kill germs, but by removing them, it lowers their numbers and the risk of spreading infection.”
Cleaning will prepare for you to follow the second step the CDC recommends – disinfecting. They advise: “Disinfecting refers to using chemicals to kill germs on surfaces. This process does not necessarily clean dirty surfaces or remove germs, but by killing germs on a surface after cleaning, it can further lower the risk of spreading infection.” Zerorez® has access to CDC-approved sanitizers and disinfectants that can be applied to your home or business as an additional service.
